So the argument was and still is..whose fault is it that people are obese? Is it the fast food restaurants fault because it exists...or is it the consumers fault for..well consuming? I think economics prove the relationship between supply and demand here...if no one was demanding whoppers..would Burger King still be making them? Probably not. If people stopped eating at McDonald's they would probably stop opening new franchises. I think in this day and age, no one can say they didn't know a Big Mac would make them fat.. I think we're all pretty educated about what we are eating, and if we are not then thats where parents' and the governments focus should be.
Anyway I think PETA is nuts, and no way should Government be controlling any of this anymore than they already are because even though off hand it seems like a great quick solution to a problem we dont know how to solve...but in the end I think it would just be a gateway for government to grow and get bigger and control even more than they already do. The mayor of Newark could tell us about the pro's of being a vegetarian, and the cons of eating fast food, but no way should he actually be controlling what people eat. If they want to be fat, let them, and if you dont want them to be fat, educate them to not want it themselves and we can end the demand.
Ugh...dont freedom fries mean anything anymore?
Apes and Grapes!??!!

Perhaps A New Career Path?
Steven Soderbergh's latest movie The Girlfriend Experience shows us the life of a high class prostitute through the eyes of Chelsea, played by real life porn star Sasha Grey, which should be interesting. This will be playing as part of the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC.
Here is the trailer:
A few months ago, the NY Times Freaknomics Blog interviewed a real life prostitute named Allie.
Here is some of the interview:
"
Q. Have you ever had a client as powerful or well-known as Eliot Spitzer? (You haven’t had Spitzer himself as a client, have you?)
A. I have clients that are professional athletes, artists, and entertainers. They are probably better known, but obviously not as powerful. I don’t believe I have ever seen Eliot, or as I like to call him, Number 9.
Q. In what ways is such a client different from your run-of-the-mill client?
A. I haven’t found them to be that different. Some clients are worried that you will give out their information, and others don’t seem to care. You see the same thing with the typical guy that no one knows because he is deathly afraid of getting in trouble with the law, or with his wife.
Q. Do you typically know the true identity of your clients, and if so, how?
A. Yes. Always. I insist that they give me their full names and their place of work so that I can contact them there before we meet. I also check their identification when we meet. I also use verification companies, which assist escorts in verification of clients. These companies do the verification of the client and put them in a database so that when the client wants to meet with a girl for the first time, he doesn’t have to go through the verification process again. For a fee, I can call in and they will tell me if the client has a history of giving the girls problems, where he works, and his full name.
Q. How would you describe your typical client?
A. My clients are generally white, married, and professional males, between 40 and 50 years old, with incomes over $100,000 a year. They tend to be doctors, lawyers, and businessmen looking to get away for a few hours in the middle of the day."Hehe...so basically my future husband will be sleeping (or drinking wine and chatting??) with a young beautiful vivacious HOOKER. CANNOT WAIT.....
You can read more of the interview on the Freakonomics blog. God why does she have to sound semi intelligent? Maybe I SHOULD reconsider my profession. Advertising Shmedvertising.
When I Die
Songs to die for:Sinatra's 'My Way' is most popular song at funerals, poll finds
Beating 2006's most popular song at funerals, which was James Blunts Goodbye My Lover
"Australian rockers AC/DC's Highway to Hell has stormed into the funereal charts along with Queen's Another One Bites The Dust, while Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah has a new lease of life after its recent success on a talent show. " Atleast some people have humor..but I wonder how the deceased ones feel about those song choices..
I think at my funeral I just want people to be miserable and cry..old school style, no top 20 hits for me.
